In this picture I have symbolically illustrated the conscious mind, the subconscious mind and the cosmic consciousness.
To explain it better I want to divide the picture into three parts.
The first is the part of the abstract lines (cosmic consciousness/unity).
The second is the part in the center of the picture (subconscious mind).
The third is the part of the realistic hand (conscious mind).
Author’s note: It should be noted that I created this painting while in a deep trance. While I was drawing I had visions that explained to me the meaning of each element that I drew subconsciously in the painting.
-The first part represents the cosmic consciousness or unity and the stairs of evolution in a bidirectional way (both the cosmic consciousness descends them to become matter, and matter ascends them to become again transpersonal cosmic consciousness). That is where all reality originates. It lies outside the limits of time and space.
I began to draw it subconsciously with a heart because pure love and unity are the same. It is full of eyes to represent the omnipresence of cosmic consciousness.
In Hinduism, they call the cosmic consciousness Brahman. It is the immaterial, efficient, formal and final cause of all that exists. It is the omnipresent, infinite, eternal truth, consciousness and bliss that does not change, but is the cause of all changes.
-The second part represents the subconscious mind, the soul and the energetic body. The subconscious mind is intertwined with the cosmic consciousness and the conscious mind. By communicating with our subconscious and our energy body we can find our way back to Brahman. We can also find the answers to our questions and get information directly from the source by accessing the akashic records (records of universal information about everything that happened, happens and will happen). I drew it subconsciously „touching hands“ with the conscious mind to represent how information flows from the unit through the subconscious to the conscious mind.
-The third part represents the conscious mind and matter. It is that which we understand as „I“ and that which we can identify with the senses. Everything that makes us human. It has lines like those of unity and an eye to represent that although we are using a material and organic body we are still the eternal cosmic consciousness. In Hinduism it is called Atman. To attain liberation, Atman must realize that it is Brahman itself.
